Biz Kidz Field Trip: Inside Wintrust Bank (Cape Coral)

Money doesn’t have to be a mystery—let’s pop the hood and see how a real bank runs! On this Biz Kidz Field Trip to Wintrust Bank Cape Coral, young entrepreneurs will step behind the counter to discover how banking powers businesses, families, and their own big ideas.

What kids will do

• Tour the branch and see how the teller line, vault, and back office work

• Try hands-on activities: mock deposits/withdrawals, reading receipts, and balancing a mini ledger

• Learn the building blocks of money: saving vs. spending, interest, credit, and smart budgeting

• Hear from banking pros about starting a business account (when the time comes!) and what lenders look for

• Q&A with the team—because the only “dumb” question is the one you don’t ask

• 📅 Date: Tuesday, September 16, 2025

• ⏰ Times: 10:00 AM class or 11:30 AM class (each class & tour lasts 60 minutes)

• 👥 Ages: Open to students 7–18 years old

• 💵 Cost: FREE event

• 🚫 This is NOT a drop-off event—a parent or guardian must stay with their child for the entire session

Why it matters
Understanding banks = understanding how to fund a goal, grow a business, and keep money safe. This trip turns “banking” from boring to empowering—no yawn required.

Dress code
School-casual is perfect. (Capes optional—Cape Coral pun fully intended.)
